Be a Professional

Always be a professional in your work. If you have a home job, try to dedicate a phone line for the job with a professional sounding voice mail. 

Create an e-mail address that is possibly your business name or something recognizable as your business or you. There are many free e-mail account sites. For example: g-mail, Hotmail and Yahoo.

Try to keep your pets out of a designated office or room where you work.

Just because you may work at home doesn't mean you should eat at your desk. This also means no gum chewing. Don't get too comfortable because you work from home.

When you start your work day, get up, get dressed and be ready. Don't work in your PJ's. You will have a much better attitude with the work you're doing and the professional feeling will show.
